In the Nile Corniche project, HOCHTIEF ViCon supported planning and coordination processes with a 3D model. The project comprised a hotel and residential area on the banks of the river Nile. The building is one of the most exclusive addresses in Cairo.

In the initial project phase, HOCHTIEF ViCon prepared a BIM Implementation Plan, which included modeling standards and information on responsibilities and the coordination of BIM processes. The building information model was used for the 3D coordination of trades, 3D quantity calculation, cost monitoring, construction planning and marketing purposes.

In addition, HOCHTIEF ViCon was in charge of BIM Management on the building site and had for this purpose assigned a BIM Manager who oversaw the correct implementation of BIM and made sure the 3D model is used efficiently. At the same time, we trained and certified project participants in the use of BIM.
