We are very pleased to be responsible for the overall BIM coordination in the pilot project for the full use of BIM in the planning phase, the new construction of the integrated Ernst-Reuter comprehensive school.
Founded in 1968, the Ernst Reuter School with its two-form entry primary level and 3.5-form entry secondary level is to be developed into a modern integrated comprehensive school, taking into account the school's specific focus on learning. According to a feasibility study from 2018, the school must be rebuilt from scratch for this purpose. Only a few buildings can be retained and thoroughly renovated.
The redesign will not only create new spacious classrooms on a total area of around 13,000 square meters, but also a modern canteen and a gymnasium, which will be designed to provide pupils with an optimal learning environment.
The decision to choose this project as a pilot project for the comprehensive use of BIM in the planning phase underlines the ambition to set new standards in educational infrastructure. We will take over the overall BIM coordination of the specialist planning and ensure that all planning processes run smoothly and efficiently. The use of cloud-based issue management within a common data environment will enable seamless collaboration between all project participants.
Our experienced BIM management team is looking forward to contributing its extensive expertise and innovative strength to successfully implement this pioneering project. We also look forward to working with the client Da-Di-Werk, the planning team and all other stakeholders to make the Ernst Reuter School a flagship institution that paves the way for the educational institutions of the future. We will report on further results.
