BIM knowledge transfer in Qatar: HOCHTIEF ViCon stages first "BIM User Day"

On May 22, the non-profit event series "BIM User Day" on different topics related to Building Information Modeling (BIM) will start in Qatar. HOCHTIEF ViCon is one of the initiators of the first four events in the next two years and thus creates – in cooperation with Qatar University and Teesside University (UK) – an important platform for BIM knowledge transfer in the Middle East. The focus issues of the planned events will be Processes, People, Technology and Policy – the four important cornerstones for successful BIM use and of ViCon's business strategy.

Our local ViCon experts as well as other specialists from this segment will present their activities in the field of 3D modeling, explain the current market situation and line out forecasts for the future.

The event series is an important step to bring together regional experts and interested parties from all over the world and to thus leverage new potential for BIM, in particular in the Gulf region. The series, however, is not meant as a sales platform but is planned instead to promote the joint understanding in the field of BIM and thus make more transparent the significance the use of these innovative methods has for sustained business success – ViCon therefore wants to also involve students and young professionals more intensively.

With its engagement for the BIM User Day, HOCHTIEF ViCon further expands its cooperation with academic institutions in the region.
