ViCon stands for Virtual Design and Construction – planning and simulating the construction and operation of a building by means of a computer. ViCon typically uses three-dimensional models at every project stage which can be used for many different tasks in the entire life cycle of a building. The models can be recycled, enabling all project members to minimize cost, shorten deadlines and optimize quality.
Most of the ViCon staff are civil engineers and architects who have specialized in construction IT.
We are a software-independent BIM service provider and use a large range of standard software for CAD, schedule planning, and visualization as well as business intelligence and document management systems and 3D/4D/5D tools. In addition, we program and apply our own software solutions.
Please use the HOCHTIEF online application system to submit your written application. The system will let you create a candidate profile which you can use to apply for a particular job or submit a speculative application. Your application should include a cover letter, resume and references. Please state when and for how long you are available for an internship.
In order to be eligible, you must be enrolled at a university in Germany or abroad at the time of your internship. Applicants should have some CAD knowledge and be interested in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and IT. We’re primarily looking for students of civil engineering, architecture, business engineering, construction management, construction IT, information technology, business informatics or related fields.
Ideally, you are a student of the fourth semester or higher and have some knowledge about Building Information Modeling. Practical experience is helpful but not necessary for an internship with ViCon. You must, however, have an affinity for technology. As we work on a number of international projects, you must be able to communicate in English.
We normally hire interns for a duration of six months.
We hire interns throughout the year. Ideally, you should submit your application five to six months before the starting date. That way, we’ll have enough time to assess your application and find a suitable position for you. In exceptional cases, it may be possible to start an internship at short notice.
If you have questions about an actual internship vacancy, you’ll find a contact person at the end of the job description. If you have questions about the application process, e.g. the current state of your application, please contact the Personnel Management hotline at +49 (0)201 824-1500.
HOCHTIEF ViCon offers appropriate compensation for internships. The amount paid depends on what stage you are at in your university course.
Interns are integrated into current projects. Normally, you would support the team in creating 3D models, establishing BIM databases, researching, testing software and drafting presentations.
