ViCon – Build digitally first
With our research activities and our portfolio of services we cover the entire value chain of real estate projects. The term "Virtual Design and Construction (ViCon)" means designing, planning and simulating the erection and operation of a building with the help of the computer. One characteristic feature of ViCon is the continual utilisation of three-dimensional building models, which can be employed for a wide range of tasks throughout a building's life cycle. Using these models repeatedly enables all participants in a construction project to realise cost savings, complete projects ahead of schedule, and deliver higher quality.
4d model
The basis for all ViCon applications is a three-dimensional computer model which – after being enhanced by additional information – can be used as a 4d model for a variety of tasks.The fact that the data needs to be generated only once and can then be enhanced and reused throughout the life cycle of the building concerned creates added value for investors, users and operators. Continuous updating of the 4d model reduces later effort in entering data, avoids data redundancy, closes traditional process gaps, provides greater scope for decision-making and substantially reduces planning and execution risks.
