Design and Trade Coordination
Brief description:
Planning the construction of a building calls for planning separate work packages and then seeing how these can be brought together. When the different specialised drawings are integrated in a shared 3d model, they can be coordinated more efficiently and geometrical conflicts between the work packages can be quickly identified. The results of the clash detection are clearly shown in the Design Coordination System (DCS) and are made available for coordination.Added value:
Constructing a building in advance with the help of a computer reduces risks and enables mistakes and inconsistencies to be spotted at an early stage. This makes the construction process more reliable, since project participants can check technical feasibility issues beforehand. Design or planning errors revealed in the computer can be remedied more economically than those which only become visible later, on the building site. This improved planning quality makes it possible to increase the degree of prefabrication.ViCon products:
