Brief description:

Access to structural information is a decisive factor in the successful planning, execution and operation of a building. If the interactive 4d model is combined with structural information of all kinds, a central information model/ Digital Room Book can be created and used by all parties. The Building Information System (BIS) contains the three-dimensional geometry of the building together with 2d drawings, contracts, information on the rooms in a building and any other documents that may be required. ViCon provides the software for a Building Information System and develops and coordinates the interfaces to a 4d model. In addition, ViCon can take over operation of a 4d model in order to depict ongoing changes in the BIS.

For us humans, viewing the three-dimension depiction of a building comes naturally. Navigating through the information on a building with the help of a 4d model is easy to learn, without any special training. The data is made available directly and vividly to all the project participants, including the client and the investor. The regular incorporation of design changes ensures that at the end of the construction phase the 4d model will contain as-built  information which can then be used by facility management.
